Wildly witty and inventive, Mort – The Musical is based on Terry Pratchett’s classic Discworld novel. His acclaimed book is brought to life in this musical fantasy: sorcery, magic, comedy and romance in one fabulous evening.
Mort – The Musical tells the story of an awkward, unemployable young man who receives an offer he can’t refuse – free room, free board, and all for a business that will ever be short of customers.
Being Death’s apprentice, however, comes with great responsibilities. Death is a difficult boss to work for, and understandably, Mort begins to make mistakes. Coupled with the fact he’s fallen in love with a princess who should be dead, will Mort regret his unique career choice?
Mort – The Musical is directed by Luke Sheppard (Associate Director of the multi-award winning Matilda) and presented by the country’s national music theatre company for young people.
